The Mayfield Trust is an independent charity with an excellent reputation for providing a quality service to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs. We are very effective in supporting people to become more independent and helping them to achieve their goals and dreams.
Our purpose is to help and support people to have the same opportunities in life that most people take for granted. Like everyone else they have feelings, hopes and ambitions and we take every opportunity to promote their rights and oppose any form of discrimination.
The services we provide are very important and valuable for many reasons. We help people to improve their skills and become less dependent on others and self advocacy is encouraged to improve confidence and self esteem. We promote choice, equality and inclusion within the community, working and planning with each individual to meet their needs and acheive their aims.
The majority of our funding comes from the Local Authority and Primary Care Trust but to maintain our services fully, we organise fund raising events and appeal to the good nature and generosity of companies and people like you. We are a non profit making organisation and all funds received are used to improve the quality of life of the people we support.
